An Estate Surveyor & Valuer essential in property sales – Okezie Obiefuna

An Estate Surveyor & Valuer, Okezie Obiefuna said Estate Surveyors & Valuers are very essential in any property sales business.

Obiefuna stated this yesterday in Abuja, saying that property sales is an act of exchange of interests in a property where a buyer and seller come together to execute the terms as agreed.

He stated that an Estate Surveyor and Valuer also plays a role at the property site.
He said an Estate Surveyor and Valuer starts the sales process from the first stage as a sales consultant/agent after receiving the instructions from the client, he sources the property according to the requirements.
“The next stage is to conduct due intelligence on the title, when successful, the buyer proceeds to make a payment in exchange for the title.
The whole process ends with the execution of the agreement and registration of title, which then leads to the development of the property, where the Estate Surveyor also provides professional managing services”.
The Estate Surveyor emphasized that “It is, therefore, pertinent to engage the services of an Estate Surveyor & Valuer in the sale of property to avoid facing the consequences of using quacks and paying dearly in future”.
He said that the impact of sale of properties in the economy cannot be overemphasized.
“The multiplication of investment in the real estate value chain starts from the sale of property. this exercise cuts across different activities in the ecosystem and from the sourcing stage, the conduct of due diligence, the payment, the execution of agreement and handover/taking of possession and development/renovation”, stated .
Obiefuna maintained that this applies either in empty land or developed property.
