The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has emphasized the significance of maintaining romance in marriage, even for those with demanding spiritual duties.

Speaking in a social media post on Friday, Daddy Adeboye as he is fondly called shared how he and his wife, Foluke, still use pet names and urged pastors and married couples to prioritize their intimacy.

Adeboye dismissed the notion that spirituality diminishes romance, stressing the need for couples to rekindle love and affection through simple acts of love, such as composing poems, using pet names, and spending quality time together.

Drawing from the Bible, Adeboye referred to Isaac’s playful interaction with Rebekah in Genesis 26:8 as a reminder that being anointed should not hinder marital affection.

He urged couples to reignite the joy they once shared, ensuring their marriage remains vibrant and fun despite life’s challenges.

Adeboye concluded with a strong call for couples to avoid neglecting romance in favour of spiritual or worldly responsibilities.
