2027: Shun Tribalism, Vote For A Passionate President – Osun NNPP Chair Tells Nigerians

The Chairman, Forum of New Nigeria People’s Party State Chairmen, Dr Tosin Odeyemi, has urged Nigerians to shun tribalism and vote for Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso in the presidential election in 2027.

Odeyemi made the appeal while playing host to members of Southwest Yoruba Youths Vanguard at the NNPP Secretariat in Osogbo recently.

He noted that Nigerians, especially, Yorubas, have tried their own and realized that instead of relieve, hardship is the order of the day.

Odeyemi stressed that the situation being faced by Nigerians now shows that the present crop of leaders in the country are selfish and lack the fear of God.

According to him, ‘Though we warned Nigerians in 2022 to not to allow sentiment becloud their reasoning in choosing who should lead us, but what we were hearing around was ‘ọmọ wa ni ko ṣe e, that is, it’s our son that should do it’.

‘Now that ‘our son’ have been tested and we all know what Nigerians are going through presently. We witness, everyday, a worsening economic hardship that is creating more poverty and penury.

‘The sudden removal of subsidy without any provision on ground to cushion its effect, increment in electricity tariff and devaluation of Naira have cast a shadow over the economic stability of Nigeria.

‘Small and Medium Scale Enterprises are folding up on daily basis and our not concern. Children are dropping out of schools because their parents couldn’t pay their school fees and our leaders feel it is normal.

‘It is high time we shunned tribalism and make up our minds to vote for a competent candidate who is hale and fit to take up this challenge.

‘Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso have been tested with power at all levels; Federal amd State, and people can testify to it that he is a born leader who can make things happen in Nigeria’

Earlier, the chairman, Yoruba Youths Vanguard, Comrade Olaitan Moradeyo, said what is being witnessed in Nigeria is not the renewed hope bargained for.

He said the vanguard is ready to work for any presidential candidate who will better the lots of citizens through various people-oriented programmes.
